Mettalic Bond ( About Technology)

There are many Element in the periodic table which are called metal such as Na,Ca,Au,Ag,Pt etc . they have certain Properties in  common . for instance they are ductile , malleable ,lustrous ,sonorous and they are good conductor of heat and electricity . they have a tendency to lose rather than accept electron during bond formation . All metals are solid at room temperature except Hg which is a liquid . it is interesting to note that metals are formed from atoms not molecule .for instance of pure gold atoms. a sample of pure iron is formed from iron atoms these atoms metallic solid are bonded tightly to each other.
